Spirit’s Play With Earthbound Soul: Keith Jarrett

Spirit’s Play With Earthbound Soul: Keith Jarrett

On Keith Jarrett’s 1975 Koln Concert.

This is one of my favorite live recordings of musical genius. Jarrett, who was classically trained, played progressive jazz in the 1960’s, appearing on many of Miles Davis’s records. By the 1970’s he made a number of solo appearances, making sophisticated improvisations on the spot.

What is unique about this recording is its profound soulful quality, an extemporaneous outpouring of the spirit’s intimate play with earthbound soul. It is a testament to heartfelt emotion and brilliant mind in perfect, graceful balance. An experience of inspired music from a muse allows one to feel more connected to one’s intuitive sense of knowing that transcends even the brain’s highest level of understanding and appreciation.

May you enjoy here part 1 of Keith Jarrett’s exquisite journey of the soul.
